Name Your Price

What is "Name Your Price" feature and how does it work?

Name Your Price is a three way negotiation process between the customer, SPN and the pool manufacturers. There are many factors involved in the outcome, such as factory load at the time of bid submission, the bid size, customer seriousness, and readiness to proceed, project scope and season selected for project completion (if bid is for complete installation). SPN has several hundred pool models available for a deal that are not currently being displayed on our Web Sites, and that simplifies the pool selection during the verification process.

The Verification process is the time when a SPN representative contacts the customer for details regarding the bid. That is the most important piece of the puzzle to make the bid prepared for submission. Once verified, and the bid is accepted by SPN, the customer must lock the bid in with a $500 deposit (fully refundable if bid is declined by the factory). Once the bid is locked in, it will be submitted to the manufacturer for review (the deposit fee shows the customer is serious about the process). It usually takes 1-2 days to receive the bid result. Sometimes the manufacturer will respond with the counter offer. It means the original bid has been declined, and the customer will receive the bid lockup fee back, unless the counter offer is accepted by the customer. If the deal is made, the $500 will be deducted from the final package price. ($500 bid lockup fee is not an additional charge, but is part of the total cost of the package)

What is the difference between "Name Your Price" and "Request for a Quote" features?

The RFQ is a two way negotiation process between the customer and SPN. The process is based on already pre negotiated prices received by SPN from the factory. The RFQ process doesn't require any deposit fees, and doesn't involve the factory to negotiate the project cost. The final project cost is based on the project scope and property conditions, which are usually established at the verification process. RFQ Verification is the time when a SPN representative has a live communication with the customer.

How to Name Your Price

You need to select the pool model that you would like to have as the first option, and click on the Name Your Price button located under the pool price on top right side of the page. Enter the realistic price that you think is best for your budget, and complete the form. Once received by a SPN representative, the representative will contact you to verify the details of the project. Without verification, your bid will be voided.
